Swordigo is an RPG and platform game in which the player travels with a young swordsman to find a way to defeat the Corrupters. You will progress through many levels and discover new game mechanics. At the same time, the game’s environment is frequently diverse in terms of terrain and monsters, forcing you to adapt. The main character will grow stronger over time and will require a large number of resources and experience. As a result, you won’t be able to skip any battles or explorations.
JOURNEY AGAINST THE CORRUPTORS
The story the player encounters in Swordigo revolves around the story of a swordsman and begins after he has had a strange dream. Soon after, he discovered that his teacher had mysteriously vanished, and he set out to find him. Unfortunately, his teacher is dead after crossing the forest, and when the protagonist approaches him, he finds a piece of paper. The teacher mentioned an evil entity called Corruptors in the note.
The teacher informed his students that the Corruptors had returned, and shortly after the main character left, a black monster appeared. Its power overpowered him and delivered an attack that knocked him out. He learns about a powerful magical sword called the Mageblade after being treated by a doctor. It appears to be the only way to defeat these Corruptors, so he sets out to find this mighty sword.
EXPLORE THE WORLD AND FIGHT ENEMIES IN THE GAME
Swordigo’s gameplay combines RPG and platform elements as players move through the 2D level and face off against various enemies. In the game, you will be given a weapon and will spend time exploring the environment. At the same time, you can destroy some objects and, if you’re lucky, pick up shards, which are the game’s primary currency. You will also come across specific guides as you explore.
As you progress through the levels, you’ll be given character controls that tell you how to deal with the obstacles or terrain in front of you. They frequently appear as question marks on signs, and as you get closer, some information corresponding to the obstacle ahead will appear. At the same time, in addition to the terrain, you will encounter various enemies, each with its own set of rules.
DEFEAT ENEMIES AND GAIN EXPERIENCE
When facing enemies in Swordigo, you must be cautious of enemies who are higher in level than you or have hard armor because there are often ways to take them down. You can observe how they operate and recognize the pattern in the attack to capitalize on opportunities and attacks. For example, you may come across a turtle that shoots a circular orb, which you can attack to cause it to fly backward. Instead of you continuously attacking with a normal attack, that monster will take damage.
There will be many different types of enemies to face, and the reward for defeating them is a certain amount of experience and shards to spend on items you require. When you level up, you will have the option of improving one of three things: your health, your physical attack, or your magic attack. At the same time, the shards will assist you in arming yourself with powerful weapons to face stronger enemies, and some of them will provide you with unique and valuable effects.
